I saw these in a store over the weekend. I even looked in the handle cutout of several of the 12packs before determining that these were the only 2 cans available at that store. They were both in the same 12pack. The quality of the printed image on the cans is above average for US commemorative cans (IMO), but obviously nowhere near the quality of the cans from Japan.

Yeah. I have not been lucky enough to come across any of those for my collection, but they do look superior to most, if not all, of the commemorative cans we see here in the US. Probably costs a little more for all the extra colors. I'd be interested to find out if the price is more for commemorative cans in Japan vs regular, and how long they stay on the shelf, etc.

I agree! The quality of the artwork is outstanding. There was a Star Wars themed Pepsi set in Japan that really put the USA cans to shame. Love the bevels on the Japanese cans too...

...if you submit a can update, only you and admins can see the pending changes. Does this sound like a good idea? Definitely. Just knowing that the submit was successful would be perfect. Waiting for the pending approval is to be expected anyway. Glad you looked into it.

Saw these 32 ouncers at a blow out price of $1.50 each at Big L@ts a few days ago... Diet Pepsi (8 oz Hospital Size) is just for comparison.

Here's the can I just tried to update (main image only):
Can Museum ID: SUN22-ORD-355-US-201? Brand: SUNNY DELIGHT Flavor: Orange drink Volume: 355mL Country Made For: [United States] United States Country Made In: [United States] United States Description: SUNNY D ORANGE FLAVORED CITRUS PUNCH Year of Issue: 201? Material: Aluminum Code: 25811001CR Barcode: 05012523 Top: Tab top
I realize changes are subject to approval, but the reloaded page (with the message announcing the pending approval) still shows the original picture. I'm guessing there is a way to do it, but it is not obvious to me. Thanks for looking into it.

Another of this weekend's soda finds. Although I was actually looking for 7upTEN, I had to grab these. Didn't know if I would ever see them again. And echoing filmkrew's comment, my first thought was that something had gone wrong at the printer.

I did a very poor job of taking the photos of the first few cans I submitted to CanMuseum. Is it possible for me to replace the main picture on each of them. I tried to update one of them, but it put the original picture back in, even though the only thing I changed was the picture.

Found these over the weekend. I submitted their football design can a few weeks ago, thinking it was new because it was dated 2012. Coke had used the same design before, however. Anyway this basketball design is new to me, and pretty good looking.

Didn't notice this til after my earlier post...these were bought to drink, not to collect. Looks like a few will be kept. Design is slightly different than the Pepsi and Diet, but looks to be the same promotion. Attachments:

That's great - "Now that Football season is over".
I found some of the 7.5oz size with the NFL design on them yesterday. Pretty cool! I've never seen any of the aluminum bottles anywhere. What type stores carry them?

I know this is an old post, but if there is anyone still interested, I found a photo of the can in better condition. It is definitely Sunny Jim brand (store brand). Not sure of the year. Attachments:

Looking for most of the regular, diet, caffeine free, and diet caffeine free cans from before the change to "MTN". In other words, I've only been grabbing these for the collection recently. Looking for the Voltage can that says "The Winner", the 16 oz without the yellow band around the rim, the first version of Code Red, to name a few. It pains me to think of how many years I have enjoyed Mountain Dew and never kept any of the cans! I have some Coke, Pepsi, and lots of mini cans as well as a lot of the recent MD flavors for trade. And depending on where you are, I may be able to find something not sold in your area. Let me know what you're looking for.

Another somewhat related thing to think about in addition to emptying cans for the collection - cleaning the outside thoroughly. I was cleaning some cans a few days ago that had been in storage for several years, just using warm water and my hands, and a couple of spots where the soda had dried on the outside actually took some of the logo off. Very small, and no damage to the aluminum at all. Luckily it was not a rare or hard-to-find can
