Dr. Pepper Snapple Group reported it is about to launch a new soft drink. The soft drink producer targets male consumers of age bracket 25-34 who prefer the taste of regular Dr Pepper but are looking for a lower-calorie option. The new title is dubbed ‘Dr. Pepper TEN’ since, according to the beverage brand, it contains “10 bold tasting calories”. So far, the product has been rolled-out in a number of regional US test markets including Denver and Colorado Springs in Colorado, De Moines in Iowa, Kansas City in Missouri, as well as San Antonio and Austin in Texas. National launch date will depend on the test market results. The most interesting thing about the newly-introduced Dr.Pepper product is that it contains the proprietary Dr. Pepper’s sweetener including high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), acesulfame potassium (Ace-K) and aspartame. According to www.kansascity.com, Dave Fleming, spokesman for Dr. Pepper in Plano, Texas, said that previously, though many people liked the taste of diet soda, research showed some men believe they were giving something up when they drank a diet product. So, the latest product will allow customers to taste classic Dr.Pepper without worrying about exceeding the daily calorie limit. source: popsop.com Attachments:

Review and VIDEO of Dr. Pepper TEN @bevreview: www.bevreview.com/2011/02/23/dr-pepper-ten/The video tagline says, "Dr. Pepper Ten - It's Not For Women." Funny. Warning: If you watch it, you will be exposed to a can "fatality". I apologize. Don't watch the video if that sort of thing bothers you.
