Beginning next month, white will be the new red. Coca-Cola and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) are joining forces in a bold new campaign to help protect the polar bear’s Arctic home. For the first time ever, Coca-Cola is turning its iconic red cans white in celebration of the polar bear and committing up to $3 million to WWF’s polar bear conservation efforts. The Company is also asking fans in the U.S. to join the “Arctic Home” campaign by texting donations. “We want to help the polar bear – a beloved Coca-Cola icon since 1922 – by helping conserve its Arctic habitat,” said Muhtar Kent, Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company. “That’s why we’re using one of our greatest assets – our flagship brand, Coca-Cola – to raise awareness for this important cause. And by partnering with WWF, we can truly make a positive difference for these majestic animals.” source and to read the entire article: www.bevnet.com/news/2011/iconic-coca-cola-red-cans-turn-arctic-white

As a side note - I found these cans TODAY at a local store (as I search for places that sell Dad's rootbeer in the cans in my area... still no luck on that.)
Anyway, they were selling them for (very overpriced) 6-pack of cans.
I'm guessing the USA can is the one pictured above with no writing along the top - looks like the Canada version will have the writing along the top (pictures through the links allcans posted.)

It looks like there are 2 sizes of the can in the USA, not sure if it will be the same in Canada. The Canadian cans do not say Coca Cola in smaller script under the baby polar bears like the US cans do. Attachments:

It looks like these Holiday Polar Bear cans with the WWF logo will be in other countries as well. Here is one from Russia, but it is a red can, not white. Attachments:
